I’ll try this and update how it goes with my Volkswagen Touareg 60 W12.

This looks helpful for those of us with a locked-out Volkswagen Touareg 60 W12.

Dealer wants too much just to reset my Volkswagen Touareg 60 W12. Trying this instead.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Key Tip: Keep spare keys in a faraday bag to prevent signal amplification theft
Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Tip: Newer cars often require dealer programming for first key replacement
Key Fob Issues
