Trying to program a spare key - where's the key code on my Victory Octane?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Victory Octane. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Trying everything I can to get the key code for my Victory Octane.

I can’t believe I found this. Been stuck with my Victory Octane too.

Same issue here with my Victory Octane, let me know if it works.

This forum is more helpful than my dealer. Thanks from a Victory Octane owner.

Good luck to everyone dealing with Victory Octane key issues!

My Victory Octane won’t start without that code. Following this closely.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
1) Find the seam and pry open the fob (some have tiny screws) 2) Note battery orientation 3) Remove old battery (CR2032 is most common) 4) Insert new battery 5) Reassemble. Test all buttons - if issues remain, the fob may need reprogramming.
Key Tip: Consider key insurance for expensive smart keys
Security Systems
Not recommended. Bypassing requires specialized knowledge and may violate anti-theft laws. Proper solutions: 1) Get correctly programmed keys 2) Replace faulty immobilizer components 3) Have dealer reset the system if keys are lost.
Key Tip: Some locksmiths offer mobile key programming services
Key Programming
Professional key programming requires: diagnostic tools to access the immobilizer system, key code software, transponder programmers, and often proprietary manufacturer equipment. Some locksmiths and all dealers have these tools.
Key Tip: Consider key insurance for expensive smart keys
Key Programming
Programming syncs the key's transponder chip with your car's immobilizer system. The process varies by manufacturer but generally involves: 1) authenticating with the car's computer 2) erasing old keys if needed 3) programming new key codes 4) testing functionality.
Key Tip: Always have at least two working keys to avoid expensive replacements
Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Fact: Modern transponder keys have been required in all new US vehicles since 1998
