Will this work if the Vent Baja 50 RR has an aftermarket alarm?

I have the same Vent Baja 50 RR and I'm also trying to find the key code.

Dealer wants too much just to reset my Vent Baja 50 RR. Trying this instead.

I’m also looking for how to retrieve the key code on a Vent Baja 50 RR.

Does this method work for the Vent Baja 50 RR models from 2010 onward?

Worked on my cousin’s Vent Baja 50 RR—might work for mine too.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
1) Find the seam and pry open the fob (some have tiny screws) 2) Note battery orientation 3) Remove old battery (CR2032 is most common) 4) Insert new battery 5) Reassemble. Test all buttons - if issues remain, the fob may need reprogramming.
Key Tip: Replace key fob batteries every 1-2 years as preventative maintenance
Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Lost Keys
Locksmiths or dealers can: 1) Decode your door or ignition lock to determine key cuts 2) Access your car's key code through manufacturer databases (with proof of ownership) 3) Program new transponder keys using diagnostic equipment.
Key Programming
Some vehicles allow DIY key programming using specific sequences (like turning ignition on/off with original keys). However, most modern cars require specialized equipment only locksmiths or dealers have. Check your owner's manual for your specific model.
Key Programming
Common reasons: wrong key type for your vehicle, anti-theft system needs reset, low car battery voltage during programming, or the key isn't properly synced. Some cars also have programming limits (only 2-4 keys can be registered).
Key Tip: Avoid exposing key fobs to water or extreme temperatures
Key Fact: The average driver will lose 1-2 car keys during ownership
