Where's the key code stored in my Scrambler Classic for key programming?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Scrambler Classic. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

My Scrambler Classic just blinks. I think this might fix it.

Anyone have luck with this on a 2015 Scrambler Classic?

Struggling with the same issue on my Scrambler Classic, following this thread.

Can confirm it worked for my 2013 Scrambler Classic.

Anyone try this on a Scrambler Classic with push-button start?

Why is finding a key code on a Scrambler Classic this hard?!

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Tip: Replace key fob batteries every 1-2 years as preventative maintenance
Lost Keys
Dealerships can often cut keys using your VIN, but will require proof of ownership. This only works for original factory keys - aftermarket or previously replaced locks won't match. The key will still need programming to start the car if it has a transponder.
Key Programming
Professional key programming requires: diagnostic tools to access the immobilizer system, key code software, transponder programmers, and often proprietary manufacturer equipment. Some locksmiths and all dealers have these tools.
Key Tip: Avoid exposing key fobs to water or extreme temperatures
Lost Keys
Locksmiths or dealers can: 1) Decode your door or ignition lock to determine key cuts 2) Access your car's key code through manufacturer databases (with proof of ownership) 3) Program new transponder keys using diagnostic equipment.
Security Systems
This means your car's immobilizer system can't read the key's transponder. Causes: dead key battery, damaged transponder chip, faulty car antenna ring around ignition, or system needs resetting. Try replacing the battery first.
Key Fact: Key programming typically takes 15-30 minutes for professionals
