Where's the key code hidden on a Quantya MMX for key programming?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Quantya MMX. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Just checking in to say this helped with my Quantya MMX. Thanks!

I’ll try this and update how it goes with my Quantya MMX.

My Quantya MMX won’t start without that code. Following this closely.

I’ve been locked out of my Quantya MMX all week. Hope this helps.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Lost Keys
Yes, a skilled auto locksmith can extract the broken key and make a replacement. They can often do this without damaging the ignition cylinder. The new key will need programming if it has a transponder chip.
Key Tip: Always have at least two working keys to avoid expensive replacements
Key Programming
Common reasons: wrong key type for your vehicle, anti-theft system needs reset, low car battery voltage during programming, or the key isn't properly synced. Some cars also have programming limits (only 2-4 keys can be registered).
Key Tip: Newer cars often require dealer programming for first key replacement
Key Programming
Some vehicles allow DIY key programming using specific sequences (like turning ignition on/off with original keys). However, most modern cars require specialized equipment only locksmiths or dealers have. Check your owner's manual for your specific model.
Key Tip: Consider key insurance for expensive smart keys
Key Programming
Professional key programming requires: diagnostic tools to access the immobilizer system, key code software, transponder programmers, and often proprietary manufacturer equipment. Some locksmiths and all dealers have these tools.
Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Key Fact: Smart keys use radio frequencies between 125 kHz and 2.4 GHz
