Where's the key code stored on a Panos Roadster for programming keys?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Panos Roadster. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Dealer wants too much just to reset my Panos Roadster. Trying this instead.

I’ll try this and update how it goes with my Panos Roadster.

My Panos Roadster is just sitting there waiting for a miracle like this.

I can’t believe I found this. Been stuck with my Panos Roadster too.

Appreciate any advice—my Panos Roadster won’t recognize the key.

Would love to see a video version of this for a Panos Roadster.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Lost Keys
Locksmiths or dealers can: 1) Decode your door or ignition lock to determine key cuts 2) Access your car's key code through manufacturer databases (with proof of ownership) 3) Program new transponder keys using diagnostic equipment.
Key Tip: Store your key code separately from your keys
Key Programming
Some vehicles allow DIY key programming using specific sequences (like turning ignition on/off with original keys). However, most modern cars require specialized equipment only locksmiths or dealers have. Check your owner's manual for your specific model.
Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Tip: Keep spare keys in a faraday bag to prevent signal amplification theft
Key Fob Issues
Sometimes. Broken buttons can often be fixed by cleaning or replacing the button pad. Cracked cases can be glued. However, water damage or circuit board issues usually require complete fob replacement. Reprogramming is still needed for replacement fobs.
Key Tip: Avoid exposing key fobs to water or extreme temperatures
Key Fob Issues
Sometimes. Broken buttons can often be fixed by cleaning or replacing the button pad. Cracked cases can be glued. However, water damage or circuit board issues usually require complete fob replacement. Reprogramming is still needed for replacement fobs.
Key Tip: Newer cars often require dealer programming for first key replacement
Key Fact: Modern transponder keys have been required in all new US vehicles since 1998
