How can I access my Mitsubishi Eclipse II's key code to program new keys?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Mitsubishi Eclipse II. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Hoping someone can confirm this works for a newer Mitsubishi Eclipse II.

I’m not alone! My Mitsubishi Eclipse II is doing the same thing.

Same issue here. Let’s hope it works for my Mitsubishi Eclipse II.

I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse II, will this method work for that year?

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Tip: Keep spare keys in a faraday bag to prevent signal amplification theft
Key Programming
Common reasons: wrong key type for your vehicle, anti-theft system needs reset, low car battery voltage during programming, or the key isn't properly synced. Some cars also have programming limits (only 2-4 keys can be registered).
Lost Keys
Dealerships can often cut keys using your VIN, but will require proof of ownership. This only works for original factory keys - aftermarket or previously replaced locks won't match. The key will still need programming to start the car if it has a transponder.
