Where can I locate the key code to program a Honda OSM key?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Honda OSM. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Trying to figure this out for my Honda OSM too!

Has anyone gotten this method to work on a Honda OSM before?

Still can’t find the code for my Honda OSM. This might do it.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
This typically indicates: weak fob battery (replace first), damaged fob antenna, or issues with your car's receiver (often in the door handle or rearview mirror). Environmental interference from other electronics can also reduce range.
Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Security Systems
A flashing security light often indicates an immobilizer issue. Solid light suggests the system is armed but not recognizing your key. Causes: faulty key chip, damaged antenna ring, low battery, or system needs reprogramming.
Key Tip: Newer cars often require dealer programming for first key replacement
Key Fob Issues
Sometimes. Broken buttons can often be fixed by cleaning or replacing the button pad. Cracked cases can be glued. However, water damage or circuit board issues usually require complete fob replacement. Reprogramming is still needed for replacement fobs.
Cost & Options
Quality aftermarket keys work well for most vehicles at lower cost. However, some luxury brands use proprietary technology only available through dealers. For expensive cars, OEM may be worth the extra cost for reliability.
Key Fact: The average driver will lose 1-2 car keys during ownership
