How do I get the key code to program a new key for my Ford P2000?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Ford P2000. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

This thread might save my Ford P2000. Thanks everyone!

Worked on my cousin’s Ford P2000—might work for mine too.

Fingers crossed this works for my Ford P2000 too.

I’ve been locked out of my Ford P2000 all week. Hope this helps.

My Ford P2000 is basically useless until I get this code. Fingers crossed.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Cost & Options
1) Always have at least 2 working keys 2) Get spares made before losing originals 3) Consider key insurance/add-on coverage 4) Store key codes safely 5) Use protective cases for smart keys 6) Program new keys before old ones fail completely.
Security Systems
Not recommended. Bypassing requires specialized knowledge and may violate anti-theft laws. Proper solutions: 1) Get correctly programmed keys 2) Replace faulty immobilizer components 3) Have dealer reset the system if keys are lost.
Key Fob Issues
Sometimes. Broken buttons can often be fixed by cleaning or replacing the button pad. Cracked cases can be glued. However, water damage or circuit board issues usually require complete fob replacement. Reprogramming is still needed for replacement fobs.
