Where do dealerships get the key code to program Falcon Kestrel keys?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Falcon Kestrel. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

I’m not alone! My Falcon Kestrel is doing the same thing.

Following closely—this could be the fix I need for my Falcon Kestrel.

If this works for my Falcon Kestrel, I owe you big time.

This is gold. I’ve been locked out of my Falcon Kestrel for days.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
1) Find the seam and pry open the fob (some have tiny screws) 2) Note battery orientation 3) Remove old battery (CR2032 is most common) 4) Insert new battery 5) Reassemble. Test all buttons - if issues remain, the fob may need reprogramming.
Lost Keys
1) Contact a locksmith who specializes in automotive keys or your dealership 2) Provide proof of ownership (registration, title, ID) 3) They'll either cut new keys by code or reprogram your car's system 4) This is expensive ($200-$800) as the immobilizer may need resetting.
Key Tip: Always have at least two working keys to avoid expensive replacements
Key Fob Issues
This typically indicates: weak fob battery (replace first), damaged fob antenna, or issues with your car's receiver (often in the door handle or rearview mirror). Environmental interference from other electronics can also reduce range.
Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Lost Keys
Yes, a skilled auto locksmith can extract the broken key and make a replacement. They can often do this without damaging the ignition cylinder. The new key will need programming if it has a transponder chip.
Key Fact: Smart keys use radio frequencies between 125 kHz and 2.4 GHz
