Trying to program a new key for my Dirico Flyer - where's the key code?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the Dirico Flyer. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Will this work if the Dirico Flyer has an aftermarket alarm?

This looks helpful for those of us with a locked-out Dirico Flyer.

My Dirico Flyer needs a new key but I need the code first. Help!

Fingers crossed this works for my Dirico Flyer too.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Programming
Professional key programming requires: diagnostic tools to access the immobilizer system, key code software, transponder programmers, and often proprietary manufacturer equipment. Some locksmiths and all dealers have these tools.
Key Tip: Store your key code separately from your keys
Cost & Options
1) Always have at least 2 working keys 2) Get spares made before losing originals 3) Consider key insurance/add-on coverage 4) Store key codes safely 5) Use protective cases for smart keys 6) Program new keys before old ones fail completely.
Key Programming
Most transponder keys and smart keys can be reprogrammed if they haven't been damaged. Basic mechanical-only keys (no chip) can't be reprogrammed - they must be physically cut to match your locks.
Key Tip: Replace key fob batteries every 1-2 years as preventative maintenance
Key Fob Issues
Many cars have a resync procedure: 1) Press lock/unlock buttons while near the car 2) Insert key and turn ignition on/off in a specific pattern 3) Use a sequence of button presses. Check your manual for exact steps - procedures vary widely by manufacturer.
Key Fob Issues
This typically indicates: weak fob battery (replace first), damaged fob antenna, or issues with your car's receiver (often in the door handle or rearview mirror). Environmental interference from other electronics can also reduce range.
Key Tip: Consider key insurance for expensive smart keys
Key Fact: Some insurance policies offer key replacement coverage
