Where's the key code stored in a BSA Bantam for making new keys?

Hello! We've developed a VIN-based tool to help you get your key code for the BSA Bantam. Check it out here: VIN Key Code Generator.

Been here before with my BSA Bantam. Let’s see if this one works.

Hope this method is better than the last one I tried on my BSA Bantam.

Hoping someone can confirm this works for a newer BSA Bantam.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Programming
Professional key programming requires: diagnostic tools to access the immobilizer system, key code software, transponder programmers, and often proprietary manufacturer equipment. Some locksmiths and all dealers have these tools.
Lost Keys
Dealerships can often cut keys using your VIN, but will require proof of ownership. This only works for original factory keys - aftermarket or previously replaced locks won't match. The key will still need programming to start the car if it has a transponder.
Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Key Programming
Programming syncs the key's transponder chip with your car's immobilizer system. The process varies by manufacturer but generally involves: 1) authenticating with the car's computer 2) erasing old keys if needed 3) programming new key codes 4) testing functionality.
Key Programming
Common reasons: wrong key type for your vehicle, anti-theft system needs reset, low car battery voltage during programming, or the key isn't properly synced. Some cars also have programming limits (only 2-4 keys can be registered).
Key Fact: Some insurance policies offer key replacement coverage
