My 2005 Mercedes Benz E320's been in the garage for a week over this. Thanks!

Hope I’m not too late to try this on my 2005 Mercedes Benz E320.

If this works for my 2005 Mercedes Benz E320, I owe you big time.

Would love to see a video version of this for a 2005 Mercedes Benz E320.

Does anyone know if this works on push-start 2005 Mercedes Benz E320s?

Will this work if the 2005 Mercedes Benz E320 has an aftermarket alarm?

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Lost Keys
Dealerships can often cut keys using your VIN, but will require proof of ownership. This only works for original factory keys - aftermarket or previously replaced locks won't match. The key will still need programming to start the car if it has a transponder.
Key Tip: Newer cars often require dealer programming for first key replacement
Key Programming
Most transponder keys and smart keys can be reprogrammed if they haven't been damaged. Basic mechanical-only keys (no chip) can't be reprogrammed - they must be physically cut to match your locks.
Security Systems
Not recommended. Bypassing requires specialized knowledge and may violate anti-theft laws. Proper solutions: 1) Get correctly programmed keys 2) Replace faulty immobilizer components 3) Have dealer reset the system if keys are lost.
Key Tip: Replace key fob batteries every 1-2 years as preventative maintenance
Key Programming
Some vehicles allow DIY key programming using specific sequences (like turning ignition on/off with original keys). However, most modern cars require specialized equipment only locksmiths or dealers have. Check your owner's manual for your specific model.
Key Tip: Avoid exposing key fobs to water or extreme temperatures
Security Systems
Not recommended. Bypassing requires specialized knowledge and may violate anti-theft laws. Proper solutions: 1) Get correctly programmed keys 2) Replace faulty immobilizer components 3) Have dealer reset the system if keys are lost.
Key Tip: Store your key code separately from your keys
Key Fact: The average driver will lose 1-2 car keys during ownership
