Hope this method is better than the last one I tried on my 1999 Chrysler LHS.

Will this work for older 1999 Chrysler LHSs? Mine's a 2009.

Key code problems with my 1999 Chrysler LHS as well. Subscribed!

Fingers crossed this works for my 1999 Chrysler LHS too.

Thanks! This could save me a trip to the dealership for my 1999 Chrysler LHS.

I have the same 1999 Chrysler LHS and I'm also trying to find the key code.

🔑 Car Key & Fob FAQ

Common questions about key programming, fob issues, and replacement options

Key Fob Issues
Common causes: dead battery (most common), water damage, internal circuit damage, or the fob lost synchronization with your car. Try replacing the battery first. If that doesn't help, the fob may need reprogramming or replacement.
Key Programming
Programming syncs the key's transponder chip with your car's immobilizer system. The process varies by manufacturer but generally involves: 1) authenticating with the car's computer 2) erasing old keys if needed 3) programming new key codes 4) testing functionality.
Key Fob Issues
Sometimes. Broken buttons can often be fixed by cleaning or replacing the button pad. Cracked cases can be glued. However, water damage or circuit board issues usually require complete fob replacement. Reprogramming is still needed for replacement fobs.
Lost Keys
Dealerships can often cut keys using your VIN, but will require proof of ownership. This only works for original factory keys - aftermarket or previously replaced locks won't match. The key will still need programming to start the car if it has a transponder.
Key Tip: Some locksmiths offer mobile key programming services
